Wheel Voices: Tune In! is a response to YOUR enthusiasm to create a new large-scale community show integrating music in all kinds of ways!
Create your own original scene work, monologues, rap, spoken word, and we’ll seamlessly integrate musical elements (choral work, drumming, potentially producing loops, clips, samples, or rhythms), mixed together to create ‘mash-up’ compositions that support stories rooted in the disability experience.
Shawn MacDonald is an actor, playwright, and director with over 30 years of professional theatre experience. Shawn is facilitating the creation of Wheel Voices: Tune In! in partnership with the community during twice-weekly participatory workshops.
This community-engaged project will culminate in a three-night production at the Roundhouse (May 28-30, 2020).
Workshops are held in the Gymnasium at GF Strong
(4255 Laurel Street, Vancouver BC)
Every Wednesday: 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Every Saturday: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
